Priscilla goodbye na sa bold movies

Dumating last month si Priscilla Almeda mula sa halos dalawang taong pamamalagi sa States. Kasama niyang nagbalik ang kanyang five month old baby, Maria Tippi Farrell at ama nitong si Shaft Ricablanca, isang medical technician sa isang hospital in New York.

Namalagi muna sila sa bayan nina Shaft, sa Aklan ng three weeks. Nagpakasal sila roon last May 7, in a civil rites officiated by a town mayor who’s a cousin of Shaft’s father.

Ang mga Ricablancas ay kabilang sa prominenteng angkan sa kanilang bayan. Naiwan sa Tate ang mother ni Shaft, kung kaya’t ang father niya ang nag-asikaso sa kanila habang nandito sila.

Kasama ako ni Mr. Howard Dy, Managing Director at CEO ng Dyna Music, nang makipag-meeting kay Priscilla at sa kanyang manager na si Mr. Nestor Cuartero, last Friday, May 17. We had dinner at Sugi Japanese Restaurant, Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan, MM.

Matatandaang nagpunta ng States si Priscilla to shoot for that controversial movie, Batang Westside, with newcomer Yul Servo. Sa direksyon ito ni Lav Diaz, for Tony Veloria’s movie outfit, JMCN.

Sa kabila ng dalawang best picture awards, CineManila and Singapore International Film Festival, hindi pa rin naipalalabas commercially ang pelikula which has a running time of five hours.

Priscilla has gained weight, but the curves are still in the right places. That’s understandable for women who give birth. It will take a minimum of three months to fully return to their old form, depende sa eagerness ng babae na mag-reduce.

Priscilla bows to lose pounds in three weeks. By then, ready na siya to promote her self-titled album, under Dyna Music label.

Inamin niyang nami-miss na niya ng husto ang showbusiness. Gusto na niya itong balikan. But this time, gusto niyang gumawa ng comedy, action or drama. Definitely, no more bold and sexy scenes.

"It’s my own decision. With due respect to Shaft and our baby, Maria. I’d like to perform on stage, shows and personal appearances. Ang gusto ko talagang gawin ang drama. If there’s an offer for me to be in a soap opera, that’s okey with me."

Babalik si Shaft sa States to continue working, what are your plans?

"We’re thinking of putting up a business here. Baka magpabalik-balik na lang siya roon. Hindi pa talaga final ang decision namin.

For the meantime, Priscilla is enjoying her baby, enjoys spending the whole day na kasama lang ang anak. While on diet, and doing some workouts to trim down, nagpa-practice na siya ng husto ng pagkanta.–BDLC
