After several heartbreaks: Isabel, nakikipag-date muli

"It’s nothing serious. Gusto ko lang maging normal muli. One year na akong walang boyfriend. Before, I only went out with my boyfriend, kapag on na kami, never sa mga nanliligaw pa lang," ang sagot ni Isabel Granada sa pagpayag niyang makipag-date muli sa isang nonshowbiz guy. "Mayroon din namang showbiz guy na nagpaparamdam sa akin pero, at the moment, ayaw ko muna ng taga-showbiz. Gusto ko munang malayo sa mga intriga. After all, ayaw ko pa ng serious commitment," dagdag pa niya.

This October, ga-graduate na siya sa aeronautical engineering. Next time, kukuha na siya ng flying. In fact nagpa-enlist na siya sa air force for this.

She’s also into ice skating. "Pag may time lang naman. Right now, I’m too busy to do anything more than shoot, tape and sing."

After Halik Ng Sirena, nakatakda niyang gawin ang Thumbelina. Excited siya to be doing films na wholesome and says that kahit na may breast exposure siya sa Halik, hindi naman ito masagwa dahil kailangan sa character niya. "I’ve seen the film at nagandahan ako. Parang natural na lang yung breast exposure," sabi niya.

Hindi ba siya nagpa-enhance ng breast for her role?

"Naku, hindi. I believe na kung ano ang ibibigay sa akin ng Diyos, dapat kong tanggapin. At saka hindi siguro babagay sa akin yung malaking boobs," dagdag pa niya.

By the time na lumabas ito ay nakapanggaling na siya ng Tokyo, Japan for two musical shows. "I’ll be away for just a week. Sayang din ang kikitain ko sa concert," paliwanag niya.

Bago bumalik ng Singapore si Donita Rose ay nasabi niya na mayro’n na naman siyang ginawang isang malaking commercial pero, ayaw pa muna niyang sabihin kung ano ito sapagkat hindi pa nagsisimula ang kanyang kontrata sa nasabing produkto. Bagong product ito na karagdagan sa nagawa na niyang mga commercials for Lux, Globe Handy Phone, Greenwich, Betadine. Sinabi niya na sa Thailand ay mayro’n din siyang ginawang endorsements at ang mukha niya ay nakalagay sa mga likuran ng mga malalaking bus na bumibiyahe dun.

She has topped appearing sa isang malaking sitcom which she said she did not for the money. "I thought it was time to move on. I did it not for the money but for the fame that it would give me. Nakilala naman ako because of the sitcom. It really was a good project starred in by some of Singapore’s top actors, directed by a top director and produced by a major company," sabi niya.

"I am glad that the Lord brought me to Singapore. Marami akong natuklasan dun tungkol sa aking sarili. I became independent and I learned to love my mom whom I hated very much before dahil kontra siya sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. Lahat ng nanliligaw sa akin. Now I’ve learned to appreciate everything she has done. I appreciated her coming here during the Famas awards to see me receive my Famas trophy. She also stayed with me in Singapore for a week. I really respected her and realized why she did what she did in the past.

"In Singapore I learned to be less religious and more spiritual. I’m still afraid of not being saved if I’m bad and so I read the Bible to be enlightened. I also advice others to read it. I am happy with the way things are going on in my life."

Wala pa rin siyang boyfriend. But she doesn’t mind.

"I believe that when I make sacrifices I will be rewarded. A man will come soon and I am willing to wait. Meanwhile, I am saving my money. I hope to move to the US pag hindi maganda ang takbo ng career ko dito. I also plan to go back to school," pagtatapos niya.

Donita will be the featured actress in GMA’s Larawan to start in May 9, 9:00 in the evening.

Sa Mayo 5, pararangalan ang ilang mga Mowelfund-produced short films sa International Kurzfilmstage Oberhausen sa Germany. Ang Mowelfund director na si Nick Deocampo ang personal na tatanggap ng parangal.

Magpapakita si Deocampo ng pitong short films sa isang crowd of 200 films and tv buyers mula sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng mundo. May ginawa rin dito si Deocampo na prodyus ng Channel 4 London at NHK Tokyo at ipinalalabas sa mahigit sa 30 TV networks mula sa SBS Australia at sa mga European community.

Napili ang Mowelfund dahilan sa paggawa nito ng mga culturally and artistically interesting work. Ang partisipasyon ni Deocampo ay sa kagandahang loob ng Goethe Institute-Manila.
