Martin, Pops at 2 anak, magkakasama sa Pasko!

Sino ang nagsabi na porke annulled na ang marriage nina Martin Nievera at Pops Fernandez ay hindi na sila pwedeng mabuo pa, lalo na sa Pasko? Nagkasama-sama ang nawatak na pamilya at natupad ang matagal na dinadasal-dasal ni Martin na kahit na 2 oras ay makasama niya ang kanyang mag-iina sa Pasko. Hindi lamang dalawa kundi buong limang oras silang nagcelebrate ng Christmas.

"It was a most magical Christmas," bungad ni Martin sa presscon na ginanap sa napakagandang lugar na Country Waffle na pag-aari ng ama ni Martin na si Bert Nievera para sa Crossover Live Tour na siya ang magiging pinaka-tampok na star. Isang buwang pagpapalabas ito sa limang key cities sa bansa, Davao (Enero 12 at 13), Cebu (Enero 20), Bacolod (Enero 27), Manila (Pebrero 3) at Baguio (Pebrero 10).

"I got a text from Pops asking me to call her. Sabi ko wow! si Pops ito, I had to call her at once. When she answered she invited me to the house for dinner. Excited ako. I arrived at the house at 8:01 pero ang call time ay 8:00 p.m.

"For the last few months, I’ve been praying and hoping that I could be with my family even for just two hours. My prayers were answered, I spent my best Christmas with them not just for two hours but five.

"We had a wonderful time. Pops and I talked about things that we didn’t discuss before. My children, especially Robin was rosy cheeked. It was the best gift that they could get, a time when we’re a family again."

Bagaman at sinabi ni Martin na marami siyang ginawa na pinagsisisihan niya sa taong ito, marami ring nangyari na nagbukas sa kanyang mga mata sa katotohanan. "Because of these, I now know my way. I am more seasoned and spiritual," dagdag pa niya.

Sa kabila ng pangyayari na he is again seeing Katrina Ojeda, his old love, the girl he lost when he decided to go back to his family, to no avail, he doesn’t think he can give her 100% of his time. "Not until I know that Pops is sincerely happy and I can see the shine in her eyes again," sabi niya.

Martin doesn’t see himself married and having a family again.

"I’ve deleted emotions from my mind although I still care for Pops passionately. I can’t go back to her because she’s not there. Pag nakita kong okay na siya, then and only then can I go to the next level of my life," matalinghaga niyang sabi.

When asked about the current girl in her life, Katrina, sinabi ni Martin na "She’s a sweet girl and she doesn’t deserve me. She’s beautiful inside and stunning outside. I broke her heart when I decided to go back to my family but it was too late. I lost them both (Pops and Katrina), for a time.

"Katrina was a shoulder to cry on. She gives me advice. At the time she was willing to talk to Pops to plead for my cause. She wanted to patch us up by telling Pops that it was really over between us. She was concerned with my happiness which is to be with my family.

"Katrina knows that I chose Pops over her, she has to live with this. Pops should have filed the annulment when I was an idiot, not when I was really getting better.

"It is not true that I did not pursue Pops hard enough to get her back. Wala ka naman dun. Kaming dalawa lang ni Pops," was his answer to my statement that a source revealed that he didn’t really made an effort to get her back.

"I’ve also approached one man whom I believe was courting her para malaman ko where I stand. I told him, that whatever you do, don’t break her heart again. She cannot take another heartbreak anymore.

"I’ve made some wrong choices but together with this are some beautiful accidents, little mistakes that turned into gold.

"I thought I was down but something got me up," pagtatapos niya.

For his Martin Nievera XV3, The Aftershock — The Crossover Live Tour, makakasama niya sina Jon Santos, Lani Misalucha at mga surprise guests sa Manila concert dahil bale birthday concert niya ito.

Okay na sa akin yung resulta ng ginanap na awards night para sa MMFF 2000. Although I cheered for Cogie Domingo para maging Best Actor (Deathrow), I thought na kung may mananalong aktor sa Tanging Yaman, it would be Edu Manzano. When Johnny Delgado’s name was called, hindi na ako nagtaka. Magaling din naman siya although, I believe sa bunton ng magagaling, may pinaka-magaling. At saka, maganda yung role niya sa movie, alam ko kumuha ng simpatiya ng jurors.

Bet ko rin ang nanalong Best Actress na si Gloria Romero pero, kung tinalo siya ni Lorna Tolentino (Sugatang Puso) ay hindi kahiya-hiya. Talagang ang undisputed winner para sa akin was Cherie Gil who won the Best supporting Actress (Sugatang Puso).

Sayang si Cogie Domingo, akala ko talagang panahon na niya. Hindi naman kahiya-hiya kung nanalo siyang Best Actor dahil talagang magaling siya sa Deathrow. Baka next time, makuha na niya. Magaling din si Patrick Garcia pero, syempre, mas pinaboran ang mga senior stars dahil magagaling naman sila at siguro nakakahiya kapag tinalo sila ng mga kabataan.

Congrats kay Jeffrey Quizon for winning the Best Supporting Actor (Markova). Hindi siya darkhorse winner, talagang expected ng marami ang panalo niya dahil magaling ang performance niya.
