CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Nasa 188 police teams na katumbas ng 1,566 police personnel ang ide-deploy upang tumulong sa mga residente na maaapektuhan sa pananalasa ng super typhoon Pepito sa Calabarzon region.
Inilagay na sa alert status ni Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, Calabarzon police director, ang buong puwersa ng Police Regional Office-Calabarzon bilang paghahanda sa bagyo.
Binuhay rin ni Lucas ang Regional Standby Support Force (RSSF) na may 438 personnel, na handang ipakalat kapag lumala ang sitwasyon sa bagyong Pepito. Makakatuwang din nila ang 407 personnel mula sa BJMP, BFP, AFP, at iba pang partner agencies.
“I have instructed all police units in our region to prepare for the approaching typhoon. All police units are directed to coordinate with the local government units who will be directly hit by the typhoon and other concerned agencies, particularly the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils,” pahayag ni Lucas
Umapela ang heneral sa komunidad na makipagkooperasyon sa mga awtoridad sa isinagawang pre-emptive evacuation at preparation efforts upang mapababa ang anumang pinsalag idudulot ng paghagupit ng ST Pepito.
“We are also preparing equipment and mobilizing resources including 520 mobility and lift capability assets, 3,327 communication equipments and 8 watercraft/rubberboats for possible evacuation, search, and rescue operations,” dagdag pa ni Lucas.
