3 sundalo patay sa bomba ng NPA sa Samar
MANILA, Philippines – Nagpapatrolya lamang ang mga sundalo sa Baranagay Bugtosan, Northern Samar nang madaanan ang bomba ng New People's Army ayon sa militar ngayong Biyernes.
Patay sa pagsabog ang tatlong sundalo na sina Pvt. Lino Mahinay, Pfc. Jaype Yulas at Pfc. Albert Abolencia, habang sugatan naman sina Lt. Marco Abante, Cpl. Ronnie Balastas, Pfc. Gerry Culaban, Pfc. Danmar Ching, Pfc. Marlon Urbano at Pfc. Buenaventura Raygon.
“The soldiers were on security operations when waylaid by the NPA (New People’s Army),†wika ni Maj. Amado Gutierrez, tagapagsalita ng 3rd division ng Philippine Army.
Nasamsam ng mga awtoridad ang limang improvised explosives, limang electrical blasting caps, 1,500 metro electrical wire at dalawang back pack.
Sinabi ng militar na nilabag ng NPA ang Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law sa paggamit ng landmine.
“Landmines not only posed danger to military personnel, but more so, it endangers the lives of innocent civilians who regularly and unwittingly pass by the road where landmines are planted,†ani Gutierrez.
