MANILA, Philippines — Nilangoy nina Lance Jacob Bautista at Ivoh Gantala ang tig-tatlong gintong medalya sa kani-kanilang age-group sa boys’ division ng second leg ng Reunion Swim Challenge kahapon sa Teofilo Yldefonso swimming pool sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Malate, Manila.

Nagdomina si Bautista ng Aquaknights Swim Team sa boys’ 11-year old Class A 100-meter breastroke sa oras na 1:30.83, sa Class B 200m breaststroke (3:09.65) at sa Class C 100m butterfly (1:41.90) sa event na inorganisa ng Congress of Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (COPA).

Humataw naman si Gantala ng Eastern Aquatic Swim Team ng Antipolo City sa 10-years old Class A 100m butterfly (1:27.30), sa Class A 50m backstroke (38.88) at sa Class B 100m breaststroke (1:43.70).

Iginawad nina COPA co-founder Chito Rivera at technical head Richard Luna ang mga medalya sa mga nanalo sa paghataw ng two-day swimfest na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Magpapatuloy ang aksyon ngayong araw para sa girls’ division.

“Aside from competitions, we are also prepa­ring the resumption of our ‘Train the Trainors’ prog­rams. Kailangan natin ito para lumawak at masanay nang todo ang ating mga coaches. With Batangas Congressman Eric Buhain leading the COPA, no doubt, ma-achieve natin ang success sa swimming,” ani Rivera.

Ang iba pang mga nanalo ay sina Evan Mathew Elmos ng Sta. Rosa sa boys’ 8-yrs Class A 100m freestyle (1:45.86); Caleb Pascua ng Gree Blasters sa Class C (2:21.26); Dominic Young ng Eastern sa 11-yrs Class B 100m breaststroke (1:41.19); Manuel Nuyana ng Aquaknights sa Class C (3:13.11); Christoffe Boletche sa 12-yrs Class A 100m breaststroke (1:25. 46) at Sebastian Castejon (class B, 1:36.94).
