Ironman, LGR sanib-puwersa
MANILA, Philippines — Pakakawalan ang Ironman-branded racing season sa Pilipinas sa Marso 2 sa Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Nakahugot ang event, magsisilbi ring qualifying race para sa Ironman 70.3 World Championship, ng malaking suporta mula sa LGR Athletic Wears Inc. bilang main sponsor.
Pormal na inilunsad ang pagtatambal ng Ironman at LGR kahapon sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum na idinaos sa LGR office sa Pablo Ocampo St, Manila.
Naging panauhin sina Princess Galura, ang president at general manager ng Sunrise Events Incorporated, Rhayan Cruz, ang executive vice president at chief executive officer ng LGR, triathlete Mervin Santiago at Eunice Cruz, ang chief executive opera-ting officer ng LGR.
Ipamimigay ng event organizers ang customized finisher’s shirts para sa lahat ng race categories sa pakikipagtulungan sa bagong apparel sponsor.
“Since LGR ang aming sponsor, for the first time magiging personalized na siya (finishers’ shirts). As in never siyang nangyari, and it’s basically something that’s the idea of Rhayan and Eunice,” ani Galura.
Masaya si Cruz sa pagkakataong mapalawak ang kanilang sports ventures matapos makilala bilang gumagawa ng mga uniporme ng top teams sa basketball, football at volleyball matapos ilunsad ang LGR (Lucky, Gary, Rhayan) brand noong 1988 ni Sonia Cruz.
