“We’re grateful for all the work that has been put in for the Philippines to be ready to host this very exciting sports tourism event,” sabi kahapon ni Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, ang co-chairman ng LOC Executive Board kasama sina Senator Alan Peter Cayetano at William Vincent Araneta Marcos, ang anak ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
Hahataw ang world meet sa Setyembre 12 hanggang 18.
Nakasama ni Frasco sa pulong sina sports patron Manuel V. Pangilinan, Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, FIVB executive vice president at PNVF at Asian Volleyball Confederation president Ramon “Tats” Suzara, PNVF officials Tonyboy Liao at Dr. Arnel Hajan, Karl Chan, Charo Soriano at secretary-general Donaldo Caringal at Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richard Bachmann.
“This is reminiscent of the preparations we made for the FIBA World Cup (2023) but this time it’s 32 countries, so double the number of the participating countries,” wika ni Pangilinan, ang Chairman Emiritus ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
“We’re moving forward with the preparations,” ani Suzara. “It’s a lot of work so we need all the support and help from all the stakeholders and sponsors.”
