Team Philippines A kampeon sa BIMP-EAGA

Puerto Princesa City, Philippines — Kumolekta ang Team Philippines A ng kabuuang 30 gold, 37 silver at 32 bronze medals pa­ra dominahin sa unang pag­­kakataon ang Brunei Da­rusalam, Indonesia, Ma­laysia, Philippines (BIMP-EAGA) Growth Area Friendship Games na ginanap sa Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex dito.

Nalampasan ng Team Philippines A na binubuo ng Davao Region and ka­nilang dating pinakama­taas na 12 gold simula no­ong 1996 inaugural.

Umukit rin ang Davao athletes ng 16 silvers at 17 bronzes.

Pumapangalawa ang Malaysia-B sa nahakot na 17 ginto, 16 pilak at 17 tansong medalya kasunod ang Indonesdia (14-8-5).

Ang Team Philippines-E na binubuo ng host Puerto Princesa City ay nagpasiklab din ng 13-8-11 para sa pang-apat na puwesto sa itaas ng Philippines-B (Gen. Santos City, 6-6-10), Malaysia A (2-3-2) at Philippines D (1-2-1).
