Petecio gagawaran ng Sports Idol Award

Sumuntok si Petecio ng pilak na medalya sa boxing competiton ng 2020 Tokyo Olympics at tanso naman sa 2024 Paris Olympics kaya’t hindi maikakaila na isa ito sa mga tinitingala sa mundo ng boksing.

MANILA, Philippines — Igagawad kay two-time Olympic medalist Nesthy Petecio ang Sports Idol sa idaraos na 2024 Nickel Asia Corporation Siklab Youth Sports Awards sa Disyembre 5 sa Market!Market! Activity Center Ayala Mall BGC.

Sumuntok si Petecio ng pilak na medalya sa boxing competiton ng 2020 Tokyo Olympics at tanso naman sa 2024 Paris Olympics kaya’t hindi maikakaila na isa ito sa mga tinitingala sa mundo ng boksing.

Magandang role model si Petecio para sa 80 youth at junior athletes mula sa 37 sports na gagawaran ng parangal.

Nangunguna sa lista­han sina world junior champions Tachiana Mangin ng taekwondo, weightlifters Angeline Colonia at Lovely Inan sa mga Young Heroes awardees kasama sina  2024 US Junior Girls champion Rianne Mikhaela Malixi ng golf at wushu artist Alexander Gabriel Delos Reyes.

Kasama rin sa listahan sina Asian junior gymnastics gold medalist Karl Eldrew Yulo at table tennis youth champion Kheith Rhynne Cruz sa awards ceremony na inorganisa ng Philippine Sports Commission-Philippine Paralympic Committee-Philippine Olympic Committee (PSC-PPC-POC) Media Group.

Suportado ito ng MVP Sports Foundation, Ayala Malls, CEL Logistics, Go For Gold, Milo, San Miguel Corporation, Barley+Wheatgrass Entrepro, Pacquiao Coffee at Smart.

Pararangalan din sina muay thai world champions Janbrix Ramiscal at Lyre Anie Ngina, chess Olympiad gold medalist Ruelle Canino bilang Super Kids Award category.

May special awards sina longtime sports ma­nager Agapito ‘Terry’ Ca­pistrano bilang Godfather of the Year at youth sports supporters Sen. Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go (Lifetime Achievement Award) at Quezon City Representative Juan Carlos ‘Arjo’ Atayde (Trailblazer of the Year Award).
