Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Sisirko ang kabuuang 700 batang local at foreign gymnasts sa 9th STY (Sonny Ty) International Gymnastics Championships sa Oktubre 18hanggang 20 sa Muntinlupa Sports Complex sa Muntinlupa City.

Sasabak sa three-day meet ang mga koponang mula sa Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia at Indonesia, ayon kay Philippine Gymnastics and Athletics Academy (PGAA) head at STY Gymnastics and Sports Center coach Normita ‘Boots’ Dimanlig-Ty.

Katuwang ni Dimanlig-Ty sa pag-oorganisa ang Muntinlupa Youth Affairs and Sports Development Office (YASDO) na pinamumunuan ni Cynthia Baclay Viacrusis kasama ang Bellevue Hotel.

Sasalang sa torneo ang mga tropa ng Bataan, Bulacan, Bicol, Nueva Ecija, Cebu, Bacolod, Ifugao at Davao City sa event na suportado nina Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon at Rep. Jimmy Fresnedi.

“The search for the next Carlos Yulo is on and as an organization formed more than a decade ago with a mission to help and train the underprivilege youth, we’re back and for the 9th year servicing the country with a tournament purely focused on the grassroots development,” sabi ni Dimanlig-Ty sa Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports, Inc. (TOPS) “Usapang Sports” sa PSC Conference Room sa Malate Manila.

Kasama ni Dimanlig-Ty sa talakayan na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission, Behrouz Persian Cuisine at Pocari Sweat si 2024 Cebu Palarong Pambansa gold medalist Avielle Caballes.
