MANILA, Philippines — Kung sina Kai Sotto at Dwight Ramos ang tatanungin, hindi sila pabor sa four-point shot na kasalukuyang ipinatutupad sa PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup.
Para kay Sotto, mas nanaisin nito na manatili sa dating nakagawian na three points para sa mga long-range shot. At kung siya ang tatanungin, gagawin na lamang nitong mas malayo ang three-poiint area.
“I don’t think it’s just right. I think if I was the commissioner, I wouldn’t have a 4-point line. I would just remove the 3-point line and make the 3-point line even farther like the NBA,” pahayag ni Sotto.
May 23 feet at 9 inches ang three-point area sa NBA na mas mahaba kumpara sa regular na three-point area na 22 feet at 2 inches sa mga international leagues.
“The 4-point shot was exciting, of course, because you see somebody make a shot from so far, but I know they put it in trying to remove teams from playing zone but you don’t need to do that,” ani Ramos.
Maglalaro si Sotto sa Koshigaya Alphas, habang si Ramos naman ang team captain ng Levanga Hokkaido sa Japan B.League.
