MANILA, Philippines — Ipinadyak ni Kim Bonilla ang kanyang ikatlong gold medal at winalis nina Avegail Rombaon at Mathilda Krogg ng Team Philippine Navy-Standard Insurance ang women’s road race ng PhilCycling National Championships for Road 2024 na idinaos sa Cavite at Batangas kahapon.

Nagsumite si Bonilla ng tiyempong 1:08.73 sa pagdomina sa Women Junior race matapos manguna sa criterium at time trial.

Inunahan ni Bonilla sina Rosalie de la Cruz (1:12:31.73) at Jazmine Kaye Vinoya (1:27:57.97) para sa gold medal.

Bumandera naman si Rombaon sa 134-km Women Elite race sa kanyang 4:22:03.69 para u­ngusan sina Jermyn Prado (4:23:21.83) at Maura de los Reyes (4:28:33.77) sa karerang inorganisa ng PhilCycling at nasa kalendaryo ng UCI.

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Krogg at pinamunuan ang Women Under-23 sa kanyang bilis na 4:24:22.40 sa event na inihahandog ng Standard Insurance at MVP Sports Foundation at suportado ng Tagaytay City, Chooks-To-Go, Excellent Noodles, CCN at Fitbar katuwang ang mga local government units sa Batangas at Cavite at PNP commands sa Batangas at Cavite at Bureau of Fire.

Sumunod si Wenizah Claire Vinoya matapos ang 26 segundo at si Raven Joy Valdez ng halos isang minuto para kumpletuhin ang medal ceremony na pinamunuan nina Philippine Olympic Committee at PhilCycling president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino at Standard Insurance Group chairman Ernesto “Judes” Echauz.

Pinagharian ni Mark Baruelo (2:02:23.13) ang Men Junior road race kasunod sina Carl Ivan Ala­gano (2:02:32.76) at Charles Ferrer (2:02:44.73).
