MANILA, Philippines — Ibinigay kahapon ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) ang kabuuang P10.6 milyong insentibo sa mga atletang nagwagi ng medalya sa na­karaang 19th Asian Games sa Hangzhou, China.

“It was a General Assembly where the POC family came together in joy and camaraderie … full of Christmas spirit,” ani POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino sa General Assembly sa East Ocean Palace Restaurant sa Parañaque City.

Humakot ang mga Pinoy athletes ng kabuuang 4 gold, 2 silver at 12 bronze medals sa Hangzhou A­siad.

Tumanggap ng tig-P1 milyon para sa kanilang gold medal sina pole vault champion at record holder Ernest John “EJ” Obiena at jiu-jitsu athletes Meggie Ochoa at Annie Ramirez at may tig-P200,000 ang mga miyembro ng Gilas Pilipinas.

May tig-P500,000 sina Eumir Felix Marcial ng boxing at Arnel Manda ng wushu para sa kanilang silver medal.

Si tennis sensation Alex Eala ay tumanggap ng P450,000 para sa kanyang bronze sa women’s singles at mixed doubles kung saan niya nakahati si Francis Casey Alcantara.

Sina bronze medal winners Patrick King Perez (poomsae), Patrick Coo (cycling), Sakura Alforte (karate), Kaila Napolis (jiu-jitsu), Erleen Ann Ando ng (weightlifting) at Jones Inso, Gideon Padua at Cle­mente Tabugara (wushu) ay binigyan ng tig-P300,000.

May tig-P200,000 sina Jason Huerte, Rheyjey Ortouste, Vince Torno, Mark Joseph Gonzales, Ronsited Gabayeron at Jom Lerry Rafael para sa kanilang dalawang bronze medals sa men’s quadrant at regu ng sepak takraw.
