MANILA, Philippines — Pumalo si John Catalan ng five-over par 77 sa final round para tumapos sa ikalawang puwesto sa Division 1 ng World Amateur Golfers Invitational (WAGI) category ng World Amateur Golfers Championship sa Phuket, Thailand.

Nagtala ang dating Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) champion ng isang four-day combined score na 293 para tumapos na may isang stroke na agwat sa 292 ni Klmmo Hyvarinen ng Finland.

Tumersera si Mariusz Czerkawski ng Poland na may 296.

Dinuplika ni Catalan ang 2017 first runner-up finish ni Tonito Payumo sa Division 1 ng WAGC.
