Mikee Mojdeh humakot ng 8 golds sa PSI Grand Prix
MANILA, Philippines — Nagparamdam ng lakas si Mikhael Jasper “Mikee” Mojdeh ng Philippines BEST (Behrouz Elite Swimming Team) matapos humakot ng walong gintong medalya sa PSI Grand Prix Developmental Swimming Championhips sa Teofilo Yldefonso Swimming Pool sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Maynila.
Unang umarangkada si Mojdeh sa boys’ 6-over 50m breaststroke matapos magrehistro ng 56.89 segundo para makuha ang unang ginto.
Kaagad itong sinundan ni Mojdeh ng dalawang ginto sa 100m backstroke sa bilis na 1:37.19 at 100m butterfly sa oras na 1:56.56.
“I was so surprised with how well Mikee has been peforming since we just let him be since he is still young,” ani PH BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh.
Muling bumanat ng ginto si Mojdeh sa 50m backstroke (45.90), 50m freestyle (39.32) at 50m butterfly (47.62).
Magarbong tinapos ni Mojdeh ang kampanya matapos masikwat ang huling dalawang gintong medalya sa 100m breaststroke (2:07.54) at 100m freestyle (1:26.18).
Si Mojdeh ay isa sa tatlong magkakapatid na Mojdeh sa swimming community.
Kapatid niya sina World Junior Championships semifinalist at Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine at multi-gold medalist Mohammad Behrouz.
“I would like to thank coach Jeremiah Paez who has been coaching my boys and having a great chemistry with them that allows them to work well together,” dagdag ni Joan.
