MANILA, Philippines — Humataw pa si Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh matapos puma­ngatlo sa heats sa prestihiyosong 9th World Aquatics Junior Championships sa sa Netanya, Israel.

Nasiguro ni Mojdeh ang No. 3 spot sa Heat 3 ng women’s 100m breaststroke matapos magrehistro ng isang minuto at 16.09 segundo.

Nakakuha ang 2022 World Junior Championships semifinalist na si Moj­deh ng 598 aqua points sa naturang event.

Nakadikit si Mojdeh kina heat topnotcher Alma Glasman ng Israel na may 1:15.72 at second placer Astrid Caballero ng Paraguay na may 1:15.92.

“Thanks to everyone who cheered for me and prayed for me. To all my coaches. To my parents. Para sa Pilipinas,” pahayag ni Mojdeh.

Sariwa pa si Mojdeh sa matamis na pagwasak sa national junior record ng women’s 200m butterfly matapos ilagak ang dalawang minuto at 15.86 segundo para burahin ang dating national junior record na 2:17.09 sa women’s 16-18 class.

Sa men’s 50m freestyle, nagtala si Gian San­tos ng 23.98 segundo upang makalikom ng 663 aqua points.

Nakipagsanib-puwersa sina Mojdeh at Santos kina Heather White at Marco Daos upang makuha ang ika-13 puwesto sa 4x100, mixed freestyle relay.

Naorasan ang Pinoy quartet ng tatlong minuto at 43.64 segundo upang makalikom ng 708 aqua points.
