MANILA, Philippines — Tig-tatlong gold medals ang nilangoy nina Nicola Diamante Queen at Pauline Obebe sa Congress of Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (COPA) Reunion Challenge National Finals kahapon sa Teofilo Yldefonso swimming pool sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Humataw ang 11-an­yos na si Diamante ng RSS Dolphins sa girls’ 11-yrs-old Class A 100-meter backstroke (1:19.85), 50m freestyle (32.08) at 200m freestyle (2:37.00).

“Sinusunod ko lang po iyong mga sinasabi ni coach. Doble kasiyahan po sa akin at sa team kung mapipili akong MOS awardee.” ani Diamante.

Nanguna naman si Obe­be ng Aqua Sprint Swim sa girls’ 12-years old 100m backstroke (1:19.66), 50m freestyle (29.59) at 200m freestyle (2:30.58).

“Importante po iyong pi­nag­dadaanan naming mga swimmers. Sacrifice ang talagang susi at dapat hindi titigil sa ensayo,” ani Obebe.

Sina Diamante at Obe­be ang nangungunang kan­didato para sa Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) award ng torneo.

Nagwagi rin sa kani-ka­nilang mga dibisyon sina Kisses Libat ng Green Blas­ter, Victoria Vitog ng Aquanights, Jhoey Gallaro ng Swim Kings at Xian Espinas ng Naawan Watersharks.
