MANILA, Philippines — Ibinulsa nina Joshua Manlapas ng Makati-NETTO at J-am Sanchez ng Wadjad Tennis Tavolo ang Philippine national team slot para sa World School Games sa Jinjang, China sa Nobyembre.

Nanaig sina Manlapas at Sanchez sa boys at girls singles event ng katatapos na 2022 FESSAP National Interscholastic Table Tennis Championship sa Robinson’s Novaliches sa Quezon City.

Tinalo ni Manlapas si Morison Torres ng Paco Citizen Academy Foundation, 2-1, sa high school boys singles finals at dinaig ni Sanchez si Shyrein Mae Redoquerio ng Adamson, 2-0, sa girls division ng event na nagsilbing qualifying para sa national table tennis team na maglalaro sa World School Games.

Nakapasok din sina Torres at Redoquerio sa five-man national squad kasama ang 14-anyos na si Kheith Rhynne Cruz bilang No.1 women table netter ng bansa.

Sa high school team event, nakipagtulungan si Cruz kay Jelaine Monteclaro upang sandigan ang Paco Citizen Academy Foundation laban sa La Salle University-Star Power nina MJ Yamson, Zachi Chua at Janna Paculba.

Nakumpleto ng Paco na binubuo nina Brent Chavez at Torres ang sweep sa high school class nang pagbidahan ang boys team  laban kina Dominique Henze Lucero at Jebb Jerwin Datahan ng Wadjad Tennis Tavolo.

Sa college men’s team event, tinalo nina Alexis Bolante, Rill Ramiro at Francis Bendebel ng TATAND-Joola sina Pong Mercado at Ruiz Arc Marcelino ng Baycliff.

Nanaig sina Keziah Bien Ablaza, Jannah Romero, Rein Teodoro ng Perpetual-Pattoay sa women’s side laban kina Sherlyn Love Gabisay at Emery Faith Digamon ng Wadjad Tennis Tavolo.
