NSAs magre-request sa PSC para sa balik-ensayo ng kanilang atleta

MANILA, Philippines — Sa Enero ay inaasahang mapupuno ng request ang opisina ni Philippine Sports Institute National Training Director Mark Velasco mula sa mga National Sports Associations (NSAs).

Ito ay para sa pagbabalik-ensayo ng mga national athletes na maghahanda sa 31st Southeast Asian Games na pamamahalaan ng Hanoi, Vietnam sa Nobyembre ng 2021.

“At the moment we are still in conversation with the Olympic team but we do expect ‘yung SEA Games next year,” wika ni Velasco sa ‘People, Sports, Conversations’ program ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

“So we’ll be expecting some of the NSAs to request for the resumption of training.”

Sapul nang pumutok ang coronavirus diseas (COVID-19) pandemic noong Marso ay nahinto na ang ensayo ng mga national athletes na naghahangad ng tiket sa 2021 Olympic Games sa Tokyo, Japan pati na ang mga sasabak sa 2021 Vietnam SEA Games.

Ipinagbabawal pa rin ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang pagbabalik sa training centers ng mga national athletes para makaiwas sa COVID-19.

Samantala, nananatiling sarado ang mga training facilities ng PSC sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Vito Cruz, Manila at sa Philsports Complex sa Pasig City.

“We still have to be cautious sa mga lugar na iyan kasi actively pa ring ginagamit at tumutulong pa rin tayo sa drive laban sa COVID,” ani Velasco.

“As per IATF provision and IATF rules bawal pa rin po ang team sports, contact sports except for the professional players kasi they are in a bubble environment,” dagdag pa nito.
