MANILA, Philippines — Nasungkit ni Agatha Wong ang ikalawang gintong medalya matapos pagreynahan ang women’s taolu taijijian (straight sword) competition ng 2019 Southeast Asian Games kahapon sa World Trade Center Hall A sa Pasay City.

Nakakuha si Wong ng 9.65 puntos para ungusan sina Vietnamese Tran Thi Minh Huyen na nagtala ng dikit na 9.63 puntos para magkasya sa pilak na medalya at Brunei Darussalam bet Lachkar Basma na may 9.62 puntos para sa tanso.

“I’ve been through a lot—injuries, setbacks, fai­lures, and other expe­riences mentally, emo­tionally and spiritually as well. But I’m glad that I’m standing here today and have finished the SEA Games on a good note,” ani Wong.

Nauna nang napasakamay ni Wong ang gintong medalya sa tajiquan event noong Linggo.

Nagsanib-puwersa naman sina Jones Inso, Johnzenth Gajo at Thornton Sayan para makuha ang tansong medalya sa men’s duilian (duel).

Nagdagdag naman ng tig-iisang gintong medalya sina Divine Wally (48kg women), Jessie Aligaga (48 kg men), Arnel Mandal (52kg men), Francisco Solis (56kg men) at Clemente Tagubara (65 kg men) sa kani-kanilang dibisyon.
