MANILA, Philippines — Bukod sa regular elite 30th SEA Games, iho-host din ng Pilipinas ang 10th Association of the Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Para Games sa Disyembre sa New Clark City Sports Complex sa Tarlac.
“The Philippines is grateful for the opportunity to host the 10th APG, an event that will give all differently abled athletes in the region a platform to override their limitations and achieve the seemingly impossible,” sabi ni Philippine Paralympic Committee president Michael Barredo.
Inilunsad ni Barredo ang opisyal na kickoff ceremony sa 2019 ASEAN Para Games sa Novotel-Manila Hotel sa Cubao, Quezon City noong Biyernes.
Inaasahan ni Barredo ang mahigit 2,000 differently able athletes na sasabak sa laro ng archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, chess, cycling, volleysitting, wheelchair basketball, goalball, judo, powerlifting, swimming, tenpin bowling at table tennis.
