Mojdeh, Dula Most Bemedalled sa Dubai swim meet
MANILA, Philippines — Itinanghal na Most Bemedalled Swimmers sina Marc Bryan Dula at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh sa 2018 Hamilton Aquatics Winter Long Course Swimming Championships na ginaganap sa Hamilton Aquatics Center sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Pinakamaningning ang Masville Elementary School-Parañaque standout na si Dula na sumisid ng walong ginto at isang pilak sa 11-year division para makuha ang unang puwesto sa boys’ division.
Nakasungkit ito ng ginto sa 50m backstroke (32.85), 100m butterfly (1:07.63), 200m butterfly (2:36.17), 200m backstroke (2:35.55), 400m freestyle (5:00.85), 50m butterfly (30.37), 100m backstroke (1:11.92) at 50m freestyle (28.00) at pilak sa 200m IM (2:36.71).
“We want to dedicate this victory to our countrymen and of course to coach Susan Papa who always there to support me. I am also thankful to my lolo (Alex Papa) and my father (Marlon Dula) for guiding me during trainings,” ani Dula.
Matikas din ang ratsada ni Mojdeh na umani ng pitong ginto at isang pilak sa girls’ 12-year division kasama pa ang pagrehistro ng bagong Philippine record sa 200m butterfly sa bendisyon ng 2:22.31.
Natabunan nito ang kanyang lumang marka na 2:25.82 na nakuha noong Pebrero sa 2018 Middle East Open Swimming Championship sa Dubai.
Wagi rin ng ginto si Mojdeh sa 100m butterfly (1:05.17), 400m Individual Medley (5:23.49), 50m breaststroke (36.34), 200m IM (2:31.81), 100m breaststroke (1:19.09), 50m butterfly (30.17) at pilak sa 200m breaststroke (2:55.10).
“These two swimmers are the future of Philippine swimming. Marc Bryan has been doing so well in international competitions. He already broke the records of Rio Olympic Joseph Schooling during his age-group days and it only proved that we are on the right track,” ani PSL president Susan Papa.
Sa kabuuan, nag-uwi ang Pinoy tankers ng 27 ginto, 22 pilak at limang tansong medalya.
“We would like to thank the Filipino community in Dubai especially Francis Segui for their continuous support to the whole delegation. We are so grateful to them,” ani Papa.
