IP Games sa Ifugao handang-handa na

MANILA, Philippines — Handang-handa ng pakawalan ng Philippine Sports Commission ang 3rd leg ng Indigenous Peoples Games (IPG) sa Agosto 21-24 sa Ifugao Province.

Kabuuang 400 partispante mula sa 11 local government units (LGUs kasama ang Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista, Asipulo, Banaue, Hingyon, Hung­duan, Kiangan, Lagawe, Lamut, Mayoyao at Tinoc ang sasabak sa three-day competition na magtatampok sa mga traditional sports at games ng IPs.

“This is our third leg of the IP Games following the two previous ones in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato and Davao del Norte. We very excited to witness and learn from the unique traditional games in Ifugao,” sabi ni PSC Commissioner Charles Raymond A. Maxey.

Nakipagtulungan naman si Ifugao Provincial Sports Coordinator Maureen Inhumang sa Indi­genous Peoples Education (IPED) para sa pagpili ng mga ilalahok na LGUs pati na ang mga ilalatag na traditional games.

Hahatiin sa anim na cluster teams ang 11 munisipalidad na sasabak sa mga traditional games kagaya ng pating race, akkad, hanggul, volleyball in g-string, bowot, lattik, labba race, kadang-kadang, paktilan, bultong, log race, guyyudan, pig catching, munbayu at munparti ya munlagim.

Idinagdag ni Maxey na ang pagkain kasama ang mga collared and round neck t-shirts at transportation subsidy ay sagot ng PSC, samantalang ang mga venues ay nasa pa­ngangalaga ng host pro­vince.

Iinaasahang dadalo si Ifugao Governor Pedro G. Mayam-o sa opening ceremony.
