Overall Crown naidepensa NG PSL swimmers sa SICC invitational swimming championships

Nagpakuha ng larawan ang mga Most Outstanding Swimmer awardees sa katatapos na 2017 SICC Invitational Swimming Championships sa Singapore kasama si Philippine Swimming League President Susan Papa.

Kumolekta ng 72 gold, 67 silver at 55 bronze medals

MANILA, Philippines -  Matagumpay na naipagtanggol ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ang pangkalahatang kampeonato matapos humakot ng 72 ginto, 67 pilak at 55 tansong me­dalya sa 2017 SICC Invitational Swimming Cham­pionships na ginanap sa Singapore Island Country Club sa Singapore.

Walong Pinoy tankers din ang ginawaran ng Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awards sa kani-kanilang age groups sa pangunguna nina Aishel Cid Evangelista na bumasag ng limang rekord sa boy’s 7-under category at Richelle Anne Raine Callera na nagtala naman ng apat na bagong marka sa girls’ 7-under event.

Nagrehistro ng rekord si Evangelista sa 50m backstroke (43.35), 50m freestyle (36.83), 100m backstroke (1:34.98), 100m freestyle (1:19.26) at 100m breaststroke (1:51.57), habang namayagpag si Callera sa 100m butterfly (1:43.51), 50m freestyle (39.29), 100m freestyle (1:28.19) at 50m butterfly (41.54).

Nakasungkit rin ng MOS sina Andrea Pacheco (girls’ 18-over) na nakahirit ng dalawang rekord sa 50m backstroke (34.79) at 50m breaststroke (38.00) at Kyla Soguilon (girls’ 12-13) na binura ang dating marka sa 50m backstroke (33.17) at 100m backstroke (1:13.02).

Nagwagi rin ng MOS awards sina Lee Grant Cabral sa boys’ 10-11, Nathan Sason sa boys’ 12-13, Martina Estrella sa girls’ 8-9 at Kristin Ivy Austria sa girls’ 16-17.

Sa kabuuan ay may 24 rekord ang naitala ng mga PSL tankers sa nasabing kompetisyon.

Kumana rin ng tig-tatlong rekord sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh sa girls’ 10-11 (50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke at 50m butterfly) at Kevin Bryle Chan sa boys’ 7-under (100m butterfly, 50m breaststroke at 50m butterfly) at tig-isa sina Kiara Acierto sa girls’ 7-under (100m backstroke) at Trump Luistro sa boys’ 8-9 (200m Individual Medley).

Naka-rekord rin ang boys’ 7-under 4x50m freestyle relay nina Evangelista, Chan, Jude Gapultos at Jeanne Dominic Bongotan gayundin ang boys’ 12-13 4x50m freestyle relay nina Sason, Albert Semonia II, Ruben White at Neil Salvador, at boys’ 4x50m medley relay nina Sason, White, Salvador at Arbeen Thruelen.

“It’s mission accomplished for us. We would like to congratulate all swimmers who won medals in their respective events. They just made our country proud. It’s just the beginning and we’re hoping to win more medals in the next tournaments that we’ll be participating,” wika ni PSL President Susan Papa na nagpasalamat sa Philippine Sports Commission at kina Sen. Nikki Coseteng at Sonia Baltazar sa suportang ibinigay nito sa delegasyon.
