Nilo, Cuasay tig-2 ginto ang nilangoy

Si Micaela Dula na isa lamang sa lumahok sa PSL 120th National Series ang unti-unting umaangat ang talento mula sa Learn to Swim program ng PSL.

MANILA, Philippines - Sumisid ng tig-dalawang gintong medalya sina Arwen Sky Nilo at Johndy Cuasay upang pamunuan ang mga gold medallists sa Philippine Swimming League (PSL) 120th National Series Motivational and Novice Swimming Championships kahapon sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Nagningning si Nilo sa girls’ 6-under 25m butterfly sa tiyempong 28.29 segundo kasunod ang pamama­yagpag sa 25m backstroke sa pamamagitan ng 27.25 segundo sa Novice division.

Namayagpag naman si Cuasay sa boys’ 6-under 100m Individual Medley sa bilis na 2:15.00 at 50m butterfly tangan ang 1:08.28 sa Motivational class ng torneong suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission.

“It’s part of our grassroots developmental program. We motivate these kids; we train them locally before sending them abroad for exposure. Our Swimmers of the Year Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh and Marc Bryan Dula started as Novice swimmers. And we’re hoping to discover more young tankers like them,” wika ni PSL President Susan Papa.

Nagpasiklab din sina Nuche Ibit, Ganelle Raymundo, Mariana Mendoza, Elise Pelayo, David Jandayan, Gabriel Rejano, John Villanueva, Luke Ayles, Ralph Rosario, A­lexandra Hidalgo, Frances Crasco, Aliya Flores, Francisco Crasco II at Alan Isal sa kani-kaniyang age bands para masiguro ang gintong medalya.

Nakahirit din ng ginto sina Denise Baui, Alexandra Pedracio, Giacinta Balucating, Faith Necosia, Ava Paris, Sean Ballesteros, Christoffer Boletche, Lance Magno, Joshua Jordan, Feriz Espano, Lexx Valdez at Kyle Cornel.

“Our focus right now is to discover and develop new faces. We already have swimmers in elite class but we want to develop more ta­lented swimmers for future international competitions,” dagdag ni Papa.

Ang iba pang gold me­dallists ay sina Iammejen Lopez, Ashley Bacera, Chellsie Ramirez, Hannah Ataza, Roany Tica, Larissa Aynera, Prince Edroso, Rasheed Cortez, Max Rosario, Rupert Nunez, Danilo Belen III, Anna Villanueva, Jamela Manocan, Heleina Glorioso, Unah Villanueva, Iona Tumitit, Rafael Lapuz, Kaden Sy, Dadilus Dembrano III, Sebastian Paguirigan, Ethan Sergio, Carlito Lapuz, Jarell Fababier at Jasmine Omolon.
