MANILA, Philippines - Pinangalanan si Philippine Swimming League standout Jerard Dominic Jacinto bilang bagong brand ambassador ng Finis Philippines matapos ang kanyang impresibong ipinamalas sa nakalipas na taon.
Nagpasiklab ng husto si Jacinto nang wasakin nito ang tatlong national records sa 50m backstroke (27.33), 100m backstroke (59.06) at 200m backstroke (2:09.65) habang nakasiguro rin ito ng walong gintong medalya kasama ang Most Outstanding Swimmer award sa 12th SICC Invitational Swim Meet na ginanap sa Singapore noong Agosto.
Muling umariba si Jacinto sa 2016 Hamilton Aquatics Winter Long Course Swimming Championship na ginanap sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates matapos umani ng tatlong gintong medalya sa torneong nilahukan ng mahigit 600 tankers kabilang na si Rio Olympic gold medalist Adam Peaty ng England.
“It’s a great start of the year for me. I appreciate this very much and it will keep me motivated. I’ll do my best in every competition that I’ll be joining and I promise I won’t fail the Philippine swimming community,” wika ni Jacinto na Grade 11 student sa University of the East.
Bilang bahagi ng ambassadorship, binigyan si Jacinto ng Finis vapor jammer kasama ang iba pang swimming equipment na magagamit nito sa kanyang pagsasanay.
Personal itong ibinahagi ni Finis Philippines official Vince Garcia noong Linggo sa 107th PSL National Series na ginanap sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.
“Right now, at the age of 15, he is the fastest backstroker in the country, out swam all the college student in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. We want to thank Finis official Vince Garcia for all the support that our swimmers need,” wika ni PSL President Susan Papa.
Si Jacinto ang ikalimang PSL tanker na kinuhang brand ambassador ng Finis.
Nauna nang pinangalanan sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque, Kyla Soguilon ng Aklan, Marc Bryan Dula ng Weisenheimer Academy at Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas.
