MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang bumiyahe ngayong hapon ang 11-tanker ng Philippine Swimming League delegation na makikipagbakbakan sa 2016 Hamilton Aquatics Winter Long Course Swimming Championship na gaganapin sa Disyembre 16 hanggang 18 sa Gems Nations Academy sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ibabandera nina Philippine junior record holder Jerard Dominic Jacinto ng University of the East, reigning Male Swimming of the Year Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas at National Collegiate Athletic Association champion Sean Elijah Enero ng Mapua Institute of Technology ang kampanya ng Pinoy na tankers sa paghakot ng medalya sa nasabing kompetisyon.
“It’s our first time to compete in Middle East and we’re looking forward to another successful campaign. These swimmers are no pushovers. They are raring to compete against the best tankers in the region,” pahayag ni PSL President Susan Papa.
“We only have 11 swimmers in the lineup but these kids are all potential gold medal winners. It’s a good exposure for them, competing against their foreign counterparts. Sending them abroad is part of our program for these young swimmers,” dagdag ni Papa.
