FIVB member tatayong main guest sa pagbubukas ng 2015 PSL Grand Prix

MANILA, Philippines - Darating si Stav Jacobi, mi­yembro ng International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) executive council, para ma­ging panauhing pandangal sa pagbubukas ng 2015 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix sa Oktubre 10 sa Alonte Sports Arena sa Bi­ñan, Laguna.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni PSL president Ramon “Tats” Suzara para sa pagi­ging main guest ni Ja­cobi ng prestihiyosong inter-club women’s volleyball league na tatampukan mga foreign players.

Magkakaroon si Jacobi, may-ari ng top European club team na Volero Zurich at chief organizer ng FIVB World Women’s Club Championship, ng isang ma­halagang pahayag sa press briefing sa Oktubre 9 bago tumayong guest of ho­nor ng PSL Grand Prix.

“Whatever his announcement is, it will surely be a big boost to Philippine volleyball in general,” wika ni Suzara, isang ranking Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) executive at FIVB mem­ber na nakatrabaho si Ja­cobi sa 2015 FIVB Volley­ball Men’s World Cup sa Osa­ka, Japan.

Ipaparada ng Petron, su­mabak sa nakaraang 2015 AVC Asian Women’s Vol­leyball Club Championship sa Phu Ly, Vietnam, ang mga national team main­stays na sina Aby Ma­raño, Dindin Manabat at Rachel Anne Daquis bukod pa kina Brazilian imports Rupia Inck Furtado at Erica Adachi.

Ang iba pang maghahamon sa two-time champions ay ang Foton, Cignal, RC Co­la-Air Force, Meralco at Phi­lips Gold.

Itatampok ng Foton ang bagong hugot na si Ja­ja Santiago kasama sina im­ports Katie Messing at Lindsay Stalzer, habang ipa­parada ng Cignal si April Ross Hingpit, Rizza Mandapat at Michelle Laborte.
