MANILA, Philippines – Itinanghal si Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh bilang Most Outstanding Swimmer sa idinaos na 21st Singapore Open Invitational Midget Meet na ginawa sa Singapore Swimming Club.
May isang ginto at pilak ang mag-aaral ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque para makatabla sa medal tally sina Naomi Ong at Nicole Scarlet ng Singapore.
Pero mas mataas ang tie-break points ni Mojdeh para makuha ang award.
“Mojdeh won the MOS because she has the closest cumulative record times in their individual events. Prior to our departure, Jasmine promised to win the MOS as a birthday gift for me,” ani Philippine Swimming League (PSL) president Susan Papa.
Nanalo si Mojdeh sa 25-meter butterfly (15.97) bago pumangalawa sa 25m breaststroke (19.33).
Tumapos ang PSL sa kompetisyon taglay ang tatlong ginto, apat na pilak at tatlong tansong medalya para higitan ang isang pilak at isang tanso na napanalunan noong nakaraang taon.
Nakadalawang ginto si Aubrey Tom ng Marikina Aquabears sa girls’ 8 years 25-meter freestyle (15.99) at 25m butterfly (17.15) habang may pilak na medalya sina Marc Bryan Dula ng Weisenheimer Academy (boys’ 8 years 25m butterfly, 17.23), Rafael Lentejas III ng Ateneo de Manila University (boys’ 7 years 25m butterfly, 19.66) at Khrystian Tan ng Davao City Brokenshire Resort Swim Team (boys’ 9 years event 25m breaststroke, 18.83).
Ang mga tanso ay mula kina Tan (25m freestyle, 14.80), Lentejas (25m freestyle, 17.92) at Janine Consul (girls’ 7 years 25m breaststroke, 25.30).
