“The young Philippine Swimming League swimmers ages 9 to 6 years old are ready to compete in the Singapore Midget meet. The swimmers are in combination of veteran and newcomers in international competition,” pahayag ni PSL president Susan Papa sa koponan.
Ito ang ikalawang sunod na pagkakataon na lalahok sa torneo si Mojdeh at nais niyang tapatan kundi man ay higitan ang isang gintong medalyang nakuha sa girls’ 8 years 25-meter butterfly.
Kasama rin sa koponan sina Ethan Gabriel, Asha Segotier, Julyianna Calibjo, Khrystian Tan, Michael Samaniego, Mykel Cuasay, Rodolf Rasay, Julia Basa, Chloe Laurente, Rex Dela Cruz Jr., Alexa Larrazabal, Andre Dela Cruz, Mikyla Guzman, Tiffany Sanchez, Gian Banas, Morie Pabalan, Louise Famanilla, Venice Villarasa, John Bautista, Victor Cabrera, Chelsea Pastolero, Nicole Camacho, Janine Consul, Justin Badion, Allen Conda, Joshua Camacho at Prince Angeles.
Idinagdag pa ni Papa na may mga baguhang swimmers na kasama sa delegasyon ngunit handa ang mga ito na ipakita na karapat-dapat sila sa kanilang puwesto.
“We’re supporting these new swimmers by telling them not to be pressured by winning medals but to swim to their best. Whether they win or not it’s enough for me because our goal is to expose them to get better,” dagdag ni Papa.
