MANILA, Philippines - Mga manlalangoy mula Davao at kalapit na lugar ang magkakaroon ng pagkakataon na maipakita ang angking galing sa paglarga ng ikalawang yugto sa Philippine Swimming League (PSL) 81st National Series sa Tagum City Sports Complex, Davao del Norte.
Tatawaging Davao Swim Meet, bukas sa lahat ng mga collegiate swimmers ang torneo at ang mga tankers na makakaabot sa PSL qualifying time ay makakasama sa 2017 Summer World University Games sa Taipei, Taiwan.
“We are holding our qualifying swimming meets in different provinces to give everybody the chance to make it to 2017 Summer World University Games delegation. To compete against the very best swimmers is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we want to field as many qualified swimmers as possible,” ani PSL president Susan Papa.
Ang mga events at qualifying times na paglalabanan ay 50m free (23.55), 100m free (51.25), 200m free (1:52.25), 400m free(3:59.05), 1,500m free (15:55.00), 100m back (56.76), 200m back (2:02.86), 100m breast (1:03.09), 200m breast (2:16.77), 100m fly (54.69), 200m fly (2:01.56), 200m Individual Medley (2:04.89) at 400m IM (4:26.19) para sa kalalakihan at 50m free (26.67), 100m free (56.84), 200m free (2:03.63), 400m free (4:18.30), 800m free (8:55.96), 100m back (1:02.86), 200m back (2:15.67), 100m breast (1:10.72), 200m breast (2:32.58), 100m fly (1:01.30), 200m fly (2:14.36), 200m Individual Medley (2:19.46) at 400m IM (4:53.88) sa kababaihan.
Bukod sa Universiade, maaari ring makasama ang mga may potensyal na swimmers sa gagawing 2015 Royal Bangkok Swim Meet, 2016 Phuket Invitational Swimming Championship at 2016 Indian Ocean All Star Challege sa Perth, Australia.
