Paras puwede sa NBA

MANILA, Philippines - Walang dudang isang NBA material si Kobe Paras.

Itinuring ng respetadong professional scouting website na Draft Express ang Filipino basketball prodigy bilang isang “potential” NBA prospect na dapat palakasin pa ang kanyang laro.

Napanood ng Draft Express si Paras sa adidas Nations camp kung saan siya sumabay sa mga pinakamahuhusay na high school prospects sa United States.

Isinulat ni Mike Schmitz na may tsansa ang anak ni PBA great Benjie Paras na makapaglaro sa NBA.

“Paras has the physical profile, athleticism, and shooting ability of a high-major wing, and potentially an NBA prospect,” wika ni Schmitz sa 17-anyos na si Paras.

“He can score at all three levels, finish above the rim, and has the tools to be a very good defender. The UCLA commit, however, has a long way to go in terms of playing the game the right way and fitting into a team scheme,” dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi ni Schmitz na maaaring sumikat si Paras sa paglalaruan niyang UCLA, isang NCAA Division 1 school, at maging sa NBA.

“He is willing to put in the work and can find a way to think the game at a higher level, and become more of a team player,” sabi  pa nito.

Bumandera ang 6-foot-7 na si Paras para sa La Salle Greenhills sa high school bago lumipat sa Cathedral Catholic sa Los Angeles noong 2013.
