Seaoil-NBTC HS All-Star itinakda sa Marso 8

MANILA, Philippines - Magpapakitang-gilas ang mga mahuhusay na high school players sa buong bansa sa paglarga ng 4th Seaoil-National Basketball Training Center All-Star Game sa Marso 8 sa Meralco Gym sa Pasig City.

Ang NCAA juniors MVP na si Darius Estrella ng Jose Rizal University at ang MVP sa UAAP na si Mike Nieto ng Ateneo ang mangu­nguna sa 24 na piling junior basketball players na magtatagisan para lagyan uli ng ningning ang NBTC Championship.

Makakasama ni Nieto sa Dark team na hahawakan ni San Beda coach JV Sison sina Fran Yu ng Chiang Kai Shek College, Philip Manalang at Mark Dyke ng National University, Marvin Lee at Brandrey Bie­nes ng FEU, Andrei Caracut ng San Beda, Frederick Tungcab ng Adamson, Jollo Go ng Hope Christian High School, Jerrick Balanza ng Letran, Denniel Aguirre ng Mapua at John Gob ng La Salle Greenhills.

Nasa light team na hawak ni Ateneo coach Joe Silva sina Noah Lugo ng Mapua, Marc Diputado, Kenneth Alas at Nico Abatayo ng San Beda, JV Gallego at Jonas Tibayan ng Chiang Kai Chek College, Matt Nieto ng Ateneo, Wendell Comboy ng FEU, Renzel Yongco ng St. Jude, Quinito Banzon ng La Salle Greenhills, Tzaddy Rangel ng Hope Christian at Estrella.

“The NBTC All-Star Game is big for high school players because it gives everyone a chance to be scouted by college coaches from all over the country especially in Manila,” wika ni NBTC Program founder Eric Altamirano.

 Sa torneong ito unang nakita ang galing nina Henry Asilum at Dave Yu na nagmula sa Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu. Si Asilum ay napunta sa UP habang si Yu ay naglaro sa NU na nagkampeon sa 77th UAAP season.

Magsisimula ang NBTC All-Star game sa sa alas-11 ng umaga bago sundan ng National Finals dakong ala-1 ng hapon.
