MANILA, Philippines - Pumayag na si Filipino world eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao sa lahat ng detalye sa kanilang fight contract.
Ang problema ay wala pang kasagutan si Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Sinabi kahapon ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank promotions na ang lagda na lamang ng American world five-division titlist ang kanyang hinihintay para maplantsa ang laban.
“As far as we are concerned, we’ve negotiated all of the points, and we are all in accord. Pacquiao signed off on everything, and we are ready to rumble,” wika ni Arum sa panayam ng The Examiner.com.
“I can’t say the same for the other guy, but that’s not my job. The people representing the other guy have to deliver him, and that’s what we are waiting for,” dagdag pa nito.
Nauna nang pumayag si Mayweather na labanan si Pacquiao sa Mayo 2 para sa kanilang mega bout.
Ayon kay Arum, plantasado na ang naturang petsa pati na ang venue. “Everything is agreed to. People need to understand that. Everything is agreed to by my guy (Pacquiao) and his (Mayweather’s) representatives. Manny has signed off, now we are just waiting for the other side to deliver Mayweather,” ani Arum.
Halos limang taon nang binabalak maitakda ang banggaan ng 36-anyos na si Pacquiao at ng 37-anyos na si Mayweather.
Sinabi ni Arum na si Les Moonves ng CBS, ang parent network ng Showtime kung saan may exclusive contract si Mayweather, ang kanyang mismong kinakausap para matuloy ang naturang super fight.
“The only difference this time is because Leslie Moonves (CEO CBS) has been doing some stellar work trying to close this match. He’s met with everybody, he’s talked to everybody,” wika ni Arum.
Sinasabing pumayag na si Pacquiao sa 40/60 purse split na papabor kay Mayweather, inaasahang makakatanggap ng premyong $120 milyon.
