2 ginto sinikwat ng Pinoy Bowlers sa Asian SRS. Kegfest

MANILA, Philippines – May dalawang ginto tungo sa pitong medalya ang ibinulsa Pilipinas sa 13th Asian Seniors Bowling Championships na ginawa sa Puyat Sports Coronado Lanes sa Starmall, Mandaluyong City.

Ang beteranong si Benny Dytoc ay nakipagtambal kay Hermie Ape para magkampeon sa senior men’s doubles event habang si Baby David ang sumungkit sa ikalawang gintong medalya ng host country sa Grand senior ladies’ Masters.

May dalawang pilak at tatlong bronze medals pa ang Pambansang bowlers at si Dytoc ay pumangalawa sa senior men’s Masters bukod sa bronze medal sa senior men’s all events.

Si Nelia Santos ay pumangalawa sa senior ladies’ singles event habang sina Sammy Say Sy (senior men’s Masters event) at ang foursome na sina Mon Camba, John Mendoza, Takahiro Yoshida at Mar Serac (senior men’s team competition) ang kumuha ng iba pang bronze medals.

“It was a good finish for our team and a big success for the biennial competition which drew the participation of 220 bowlers from seven countries,” wika ni Philippine Senior Bowlers (PSB) president Steve Robles.

Bukod sa Pilipinas ay nagpadala rin ng manlalaro ang mga bansang Australia, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Korea, Japan at New Zealand.

Inorganisa ng PSB at may basbas ng World Tenpin Bowling Association, Asian Bowling Federation at Philippine Bowling Congress, sumali rin ang bowling legend at six-time world champion na si Paeng Nepomuceno na sinamang-palad na tumapos lamang sa ikalimang puwesto sa senior men’s Masters event.
