Team NCR inangkin ang Perpetual Trophy ng 2014 MILO Little Olympics National Finals

MANILA, Philippines - Tuluyan nang inangkin ng National Capital Region ang kanilang pangatlong sunod na overall cham­pionship trophy matapos ma­­nguna sa nakaraang 2014 MILO Little Olympics National Finals na idinaos sa Marikina City Sports Center sa Marikina City.

Dahil dito ay nakamit ng host region ang MILO Little Olympics Perpetual Trophy.

Nagposte ang Team NCR ng 647.5 overall points, halos 85 points ang bentahe sa karibal na Team Visayas (563 points) kasunod ang Team Mindanao (436 points) at Team Luzon (393.5 points).

Bumandera ang Team Visayas sa elementary division mula sa kanilang total division score na 315 points.

Nanguna sila sa indivi­dual at team sports kagaya ng football, boys’ swimming at boys’ volleyball.

Pumangalawa ang Team NCR sa kanilang  298.5 points kasunod ang Team Mindanao (232.5 points) at Team Luzon (174 points).

Nangibabaw naman ang Team NCR sa secon­dary division sa kanilang itinalang total division score na 349 points.

Nagbida ang mga Big City student-athletes sa athletics, football, sepak tak­raw, swimming at girls’ vol­leyball.

Sinundan sila ng Team Visayas na may 248 points sa ibabaw ng Team Luzon (219.5 points) at Team Mindanao  (203.5 points).

Ang opening ceremony ay dinaluhan nina Marikina City Mayor Hon. Mayor Del De Guzman, Philippine Olympic President Jose “Pe­­ping” Cojuango, POC vice president Joey Romasanta, Regional Director for Department of Education of National Capital Region Dr. Luz Almeda, Nestle Chief Executive Officer and Chairman John Martin Miller at Nestlé Business Executive Manager for Beverages Sherilla Bayo­na.

“The MILO Little Olympics is a big part of MILO’s long­standing commitment in giving our promi­sing young athletes the best sporting experience through quality competitions. The success of this event would not be possible without the support of our partners, the Department of Education, and the local government, as led by Mayor Del De Guzman and the City of Marikina,” sa­bi ni MILO Sports Executive Robbie de Vera. “We at MILO are immensely grateful to the families and schools who continue to nur­ture our future champions in becoming the best not just in sports, but also in life. We would like to congratulate everyone, and we cannot wait to see our young athletes once again in the next season of the MILO Little Olympics.”

Ang Team Mindanao ang mamamahala sa 28th MILO Little Olympics sa Ca­gayan De Oro sa 2015.
