MANILA, Philippines - Magbabalik si dating car rally champion Vip Isada sa isport na una niyang minahal.
Tatayo si Isada bilang head coach ng Via Mare Men’s Volleyball Club para sa darating na 2014 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference, inihahandog ng PLDT Home DSL, na hahataw bukas sa Cuneta Astrodome.
Gagabayan ni Isada, isang dating national volleyball player at national coach at mentor ng UP squad sa UAAP, ang mga miyembro ng UP Alumni volleyball team para katawanin ang Via Mare sa premier club volleyball league na nasa kanilang ikalawang season at gagamit ng temang “Ito ang volleyball!â€
Magbabalik din sa aksyon si actor Richard Gomez, isang multi-sport practitioner, para banderahan ang Systema Active Smashers na naging runner-up sa PLDT TVolution Power Attackers noong 2013 PSL Grand Prix.
“Vip is acknowledged as a living legend in men’s volleyball. And like Richard, he has played other sports as well and excelled in the sport of car racing,†sabi ni Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara, ang PSL president at pinuno ng nag-oorganisang Score. “Their presence in the PSL courts will make competitions even tougher this time.
Ang iba pang makakasubukan ng PLDT, Systema at Via Mare ay ang Instituto Estetica Manila at Cignal HD Spikers.
Sa women’s division, pangungunahan naman ng two-conference champion Philippine Army, dadalhin ang pangalan ng Generika Drugstore, ang kompetisÂyon.
Inaasahang hahamon sa Lady Troopers ang Cignal HD Spikers na tinalo nila sa finals ng Invitational at Grand Prix.
