MANILA, Philippines - Matapos wakasan ang kanilang quarterfinals match ng Alaska, ang Me­ralco naman ang lalabanan ng San Mig Coffee sa best-of-five semifinals series ng 2013 PBA Go­vernor’s Cup.

Sasagupain ng Mi­xers ang Bolts sa Game One ngayong alas-6:45 ng gabi sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Tinalo ng San Mig Coffee, tumayong No. 2 team at humawak ng ‘twice-to-beat’ advantage sa quarterfinals, ang Alaska, 83-73, noong Biyernes para makatapat sa semis ang Meralco.

Kaagad namang sinibak ng Bolts, ang No. 3 squad sa quarterfinals, ang No. 6 Barako Bull Energy, 86-68, noong Martes.

“Meralco is a solid team. Their guard level is strong,” sabi ni Mixers head coach Tim Cone sa koponan ni mentor Ryan Gregorio.

Nilusutan ng Mi­xers ang Bolts, 88-87, sa ka­nilang unang pagtatagpo sa single round eliminations noong Setyembre 20.

Muling ibabandera ng San Mig Coffee sina import Marqus Blakely, two-time PBA Most Valuable Player James Yap, Marc Pingris, PJ Simon, Joe Devance at Mark Barroca.

“We worked so hard to be in this situation (semifinals). Not a lot of people predicted that we will snatch one of the four slots and twice-to-beat incentive in the semis,” ani Gregorio,

Itatapat ng Meralco sina reinforcement Mario West, Cliff Hodge, Reynel Hugnatan, Chris Ross at John Wilson.
