AFP troops pinaghahanda na sa midterm polls
MANILA, Philippines — Pinaghahanda na ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. ang tropa ng mga sundalo kaugnay ng nalalapit na May 2025 midterm elections sa bansa.
Ito’y para matiyak ang mapayapa at tahimik na halalan kung saan mahigpit na babantayan ang mga Areas of Immediate Concern base sa assessment ng Comelec.
“As soldiers, you must ensure an orderly electoral process, as you continue to uphold your oath to the Constitution and your commitment to serving the Filipino people with honor and integrity,” ayon kay Brawner sa pagbisita sa AFP-Western Mindanao Command sa Zamboanga City.
Sa Mindanao Region, isa sa mga itinuturing na hotspot ay ang Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BARMM) dahilan sa banta ng mga armadong grupo na posibleng maghasik ng terorismo.
“Your duty extends beyond the battlefield, you are also champions of peace, embodying the AFP’s steadfast commitment to supporting the national government’s broader agenda for stability and development,” sabi pa ni Brawner.
