Antipolo PNP on lockdown
MANILA, Philippines — The Antipolo City police station was placed on lockdown yesterday after several police officers tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Mayor Andrea Ynares said business transactions and police lockup visitations are suspended until July 28 to pave the way for contact tracing and disinfection.
She said the police would continue to process applications for travel permits online.
The city veterinary office was also closed after several employees were exposed to a COVID-19 patient.
Ynares said clinical and vaccination services would be suspended until July 28.
Antipolo logged 14 cases on Monday, bringing the city’s total to 504.
The city has the biggest number of active cases in Rizal at 206. It recorded 43 deaths and 255 recoveries.
