MANILA, Philippines — Itinalaga ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista si Atty. Hector Villacorta bilang Officer-In-Charge (OIC) ng Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Nabatid na sa pamamagitan ng isang Special Order, ookupahin ni Villacorta, na siya ring Assistant Secretary for Communications and Commuter Affairs ng DOTr, ang posisyong babakantehin ni LTO chief Asec. Jay Art Tugade ngayong Hunyo 1.
“Asec. Villacorta will be the LTO OIC while waiting for permanent appointment by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,” anunsiyo pa ni Sec. Bautista sa turnover ceremony sa LTO.
Pinasalamatan din naman ng kalihim si Tugade para sa kanyang mga accomplishments sa pitong buwang paninilbihan sa LTO.
Sa kanyang panig, tiniyak naman ni Villacorta sa transport chief na ipagpapatuloy ng LTO ang kanilang mandato na magkaloob ng mahusay na serbisyo sa mga mamamayan.
Magpopokus din aniya sila sa mga kritikal na isyu, kabilang na ang pag-iisyu ng driver’s license at vehicle plates.
“This is not just a transition but a continuation of the efforts done by the LTO all these many decades,” ani Villacorta.
“We give you an institution where personalities may change but we will carry on. With the dawn in this office, we will never forget those who helped through the night,” dagdag pa niya. — Angie dela Cruz
