Shell Marine inks MOU with UC-METC

CEBU, Philippines — Shell Marine has again renewed its partnership with the University of Cebu – Marine Education and Training Center (UC-METC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The event was graced by Shell Marine Lubricants general manager Kenny Zhang, University of Cebu Chairman of the Board Atty. Augusto W. Go, Executive Vice – Chancellor of University of Cebu Atty. Manuel Elijah Sarausad, UC-METC Campus Director Capt. Arnel N. Malaga, and UC-METC Research Director Dr. Alvin E. Zamora.

The event marked the continuing success of Shell Marine's partnership with the University of Cebu's Marine Education and Training Center. During the signing event, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation handed brand-new maritime testing equipment to UC-METC.

Since the partnership began in 2012, UC-METC and Shell Marine have shared a single vision and goal — to share technical expertise and training facilities in order to further enhance the skills and knowledge of maritime students and be able to produce well-trained and highly qualified marine professionals.  — (FREEMAN)
