Super Typhoon Pepito humagupit sa Bicol Region!

MANILA, Philippines — Patuloy na hinahagupit ng Super Typhoon Pepito ang hilagang silangan ng Bicol Region.

Alas-2 ng hapon kahapon, ang sentro ng ST Pepito ay namataan ng PAGASA sa layong 145 kilometro silangan hilagang silangan ng Catarman, Northern Samar taglay ang lakas ng hangin na umaabot sa 195 kilometro bawat oras at pagbugso na umaabot sa 240 kilometro bawat oras.

Nakataas ang Signal number 5 sa Catanduanes at Signal number 4 sa northeastern portion ng Camarines Sur
at northeastern portion ng Albay.

Signal no. 3 sa Polillo Islands, southeastern portion ng mainland Quezon, Camarines Norte, nalalabing bahagi ng Camarines Sur, nalalabing bahagi ng Albay, northern portion ng Sorsogon, eastern at central portions ng Northern Samar at northern portion ng Eastern Samar.

Signal no. 2 sa southern portion ng Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, eastern portion ng Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, southern portion ng Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Rizal, nalalabing bahagi ng Quezon, Laguna, Cavite, Marinduque, nalalabing bahagi ng Sorsogon, Burias Island, at Ticao Island; central portion ng Eastern Samar, northern portion ng Samar at nalalabing bahagi ng Northern Samar

Ngayong weekend si Pepito ay kikilos pakanluran hilagang kanluran at daraan sa lokalidad ng Bicol Region, Central Luzon, Quezon at southern portions ng Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region bago sumapit sa West Philippine Sea ngayong Linggo ng gabi o Lunes ng umaga.

Ang mga lugar na ito ay makakaranas ng matinding pag-ulan, malakas na hampas ng hangin at storm surge.

Si Pepito ay nasa typhoon category pa rin oras na lumapit sa West Philippine Sea.

Ngayong Nov 17, Linggo ng alas-11 ng umaga, si Pepito ay inaasahang nasa katubigan ng Burdeos, Quezon at lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Lunes, November 18.
