Magbayad din ng buwis — BIR Vape products iparehistro!
MANILA, Philippines — Nagbabala ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) na patuloy ang kanilang operasyon para hulihin ang mga retailer at reseller ng iligal na vape products para mapigilan ang mga vape smugglers na ipasok ang kanilang produkto sa bansa na hindi dumadaan sa tamang proseso.
“Resellers of illicit vape will be raided. They are the enablers of vape smugglers. If there are no resellers, there will be no smugglers. The smugglers will be forced to comply with BIR regulations,” ani BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr.
Bunsod nito, nanawagan ang health advocacy group na SafeVape PH sa mga vape suppliers at importers na magparehistro, kumuha ng lisensya at alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11900 o Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act at sumunod sa packaging standards.
Nais din ng grupo na magbayad ng tamang buwis ang mga vape suppliers upang makatulong na rin sa public health care program ng pamahalaan.
Naglabas ng pahayag ang grupo matapos aprubahan kamakailan ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Office for the Special Mandate on Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products (OSMV), ang aplikasyon para sa akreditasyon ng Guandong Boopower Industry Co. Ltd. (GBPI), at ang local partner nito na One Tech Ventures OPC.

Sa panig ng SafeVape PH, ang pagbibigay ng akreditasyon sa GBPI ay patunay na hindi mahirap kumuha nito, taliwas sa sinasabi ng ibang importers, distributors at manufacturers na masyadong masalimuot ang proseso sa pagkuha ng Philippine Standard (PS) Quality and/or Safety Mark and Import Commodity Clearance Sticker mula sa DTI.
