MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na suportado nila ang plano ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na buksan muli ang imbestigasyon sa mga napatay na malalaking personalidad o high profile cases sa anti-drug war campaign ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sinabi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na ang planong pagbubukas sa mga pagpatay sa war on drugs ng nakaraang administrasyon ay nagpapatunay na binibigyang halaga ng administrasyong Marcos ang patas na hustisya.
“The reopening of the investigations of the high killings related to the war on drugs should indicate that the Marcos administration places the highest importance on the fair dispensation of justice and on the universal observance of the rule of law in the country” pahayag pa ni Bersamin.
Matatandaan na kabilang sa mga napatay sa drug war campaign ni Duterte sina Ozamis City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa, Tanauan Mayor Antonio Halili at iba pa.
