"In terms of magnitude, the number of unemployed individuals in December 2023 was estimated at 1.60 million," sabi ng PSA.
"This was lower than the reported number of unemployed persons in December 2022 of 2.22 million and in November 2023 of 1.83 million."
- unemployment rate: 3.1%
- walang trabaho: 1.6 milyon
- employment rate: 96.9%
- merong trabaho: 50.52 milyon
- underemployment rate: 11.9%
- underemployed: 6.01 milyon
- labor force participation rate: 66.6%
"Wage and salary workers continued to account for the largest share of employed persons with 62.7 percent of the total employed persons in December 2023," dagdag ng PSA.
"This was followed by self-employed persons without any aid employee at 27.4 percent and unpaid family workers at 7.8 percent. Employers in own family-operated farm or business had the lowest share of 2.1 percent."
