MANILA, Philippines — Walang balak ang Department of Education (DepEd) na magsuspinde ng klase sa susunod na linggo.

Ito ay sa kabila ng ikakasang tigil-pasada ng transport group na Manibela sa Lunes, Marso 6 hanggang 12 para tutulan ang phaseout ng traditional jeepney sa bansa.

Ayon sa DepEd, sa halip na magsuspinde ng klase, pinapayuhan ang mga eskwelahan na magsagawa na lamang ng Alternative Delivery Modes ng pagtuturo.

Halimbawa na ang online classes at modules.

Tinatayang nasa 40,000 jeepney at UV express ­drivers ang inaasahang makikiisa sa tigil-pasada.

Nasa 2 milyong pasahero ang maaapektuhan kapag natuloy ang jeepney strike.

Una nang sinabi ng Manibela na tuloy at wala ng atrasan ang kanilang jeepney strike sa Lunes.
