11 na sugatan sa paputok - DOH
MANILA, Philippines — Iniulat kahapon ng Department of Health (DOH) na may 11 fireworks-related injuries na naitala kahapon hindi pa man sumasapit ang Bagong Taon.
“As of 6 a.m. of Dec. 26, 2021, a total of 11 fireworks-related injuries [were] reported. These were the same compared to 2020 (11 cases) and 77 percent lower than the five year average (48 cases) during the same time period,” anang DOH.
Sinimulan nang mag-monitor ng DOH nitong Disyembre 22.
“All cases were injuries due to fireworks. There was no fireworks ingestion, stray bullet injury, or death reported,” dagdag pa nito.
Kinabibilangan ito ng limang kaso ng nasugatan at napaso na kinailangang putulin o amputation, habang ang limang kaso pa ay parehas ng natamo ngunit hindi kailangan ng amputation, at ang isang kaso ay nagkaroon ng eye injury.
Ang mga uri ng paputok na nagdulot ng pinsala ay ang boga (3 kaso), piccolo (3), 5-star (1), benggala (1), triangle (1), whistle bomb (1), at walang label na paputok (1).
Ang 11 na kaso ay naiulat mula sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Tig-2 ay mula sa Cagayan Valley, Western Visayas, at Central Visayas; at tig-isa sa Ilocos Region at Bicol.
