Bulkang Taal itinaas sa Alert Level 3; Phivolcs inirekomenda mga paglikas
MANILA, Philippines — Tuluyan nang itinaas ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Siesmology sa Alert Level 3 ang estado ng Bulkang Taal ngayong araw, bagay na nangangahulugan na raw ng "magmatic unrest."
Nangyayari ito isang araw matapos kumpirmahin ng Phivolcs na "sulfur dioxide" mula Taal ang dahilan sa likod ng volcanic smog (vog) na nagpapalabo sa kapaligiran at hangin ng Metro Manila.
"This serves as notice for the raising of the alert status of Taal from Alert Level 2 (increasing unrest) to Alert Level 3 (magmatic unrest). At 1516H (3:16 PM) PST, Taal Volcano Main Crater generated a short-lived dark phreatomagmatic plume 1 kilometer-high with no accompanying volcanic earthquake," wika ng state volcanologists, Huwebes.
"This means that there is magmatic intrusion at the Main Crater that may further drive succeeding eruptions."

Dahil dito, mariing inirerekomenda ng Phivolcs ang agarang evacuation ng mga residente mula sa Agoncillo at Laurel, Batangas dahil sa banta ng "pyroclastic density currents" at volcanic tsunami."
"So far, inalis na po previously ang mga community sa volcano island. We are coordinating with Phivolcs po and the RDRRMC CALABARZON for developments," wika ni Mark Timbal, spokesperson ng NDRRMC kanina.
Tinitiyak pa naman ngayon nina Timbal kung gumugulong na sa ngayon ang mga evacuation.
Ipinaalala naman ngayon sa publiko na Permanent Danger Zone ang kabuuang Taal Volcano Island. Pinagbabawalan din ngayon ang pagpasok ngayon sa high-risk areas gaya ng dalawang lugar na nabanggit sa itaas.
"In addition, communities around the Taal Lake shore are advised to take precautionary measures and be vigilant of possible lakewater disturbances related to the ongoing unrest," patuloy ng Phivolcs.
Ngayong Alert Level 3 ang Bulkang Taal, posible na ang "hazardous eruption" nito sa loob ng ilang araw o linggo.
Huling beses na umabot sa Alert Level 4 ang bulkan ay noong Enero 2020, kung saan libu-libo ang lumikas. Umabot din hanggang sa Kamaynilaan ang peligrosong ashfall ng naturang volcano. — James Relativo
